I’m not sure how I feel about tattoos. On the one hand I totally appreciate them as an art form and on the other I worry about what a fright they will look when one’s skin crinkles like a stretched carrier
I don’t think I dare. Though sometimes I think about having “you are enough” tattooed in tiny script on my wrist just as a reminder to myself. And then I think that I would spend so much time explaining it to curious onlookers that it would no longer be mine and it’s meaning would be diluted by the ineffectual way I would end up justifying it…
But I wouldn’t have to justify one of these lovely temporary tattoos from PepperInk now would I? Though I think my cleavage may just be a little too buxom for a Victorian posy, nothing would say Vintage girl, quite like it would it? You see I rather like the idea of skin as a blank canvas for the kind of pretty florals I adore…
And better than that I like the idea of the same florals fading away over a few days. Becoming distressed, almost sandpapered into my skin until they disappear altogether…
Lovely. Just plain old lovely.
I have 2 or 2.5 tattoos, depending on how you look at it! I have a tiny rose on my ribs, with ‘Carpe Diem’ around the edge, which I got when I was 19. Five or so years ago, I got it added to, with pretty green vines growing out of it. Last year I got a swallow on the nape of my neck.
What I love about them is that they mean something special to me, and also most people are very surprised when they find out I have them. On the whole, I can choose exactly who sees them – the ribs stay hidden all the time, the swallow people occasionally glimpse if I wear my hair up, but it is so long that even up it is hidden.
I adore these floral temporary tattoos!
I have a small mouse tattooed on my foot. He is an adorable companion and usually only peeps out during the summer. I wouldn’t mind these florals though, that’s for sure! Oh, and maybe a lovely old teapot?
Love these! I cannot commit to a permanent tattoo, but these are just wonderful!
