Flow Magazine

Heavens to Betsy, the shelves of W.H.Smith are becoming far to enticing these days. Not satisfied with offering me Simple Things, Mollie Makes and her Mollie spin offs, Oh Comely, The Gentlewoman, Daphnes Diary and V and Oak, now four times a year I am going to be forced (FORCED I tell you!) to part with ten pounds in exchange for the paper loveliness that is Flow.
Ten whole pounds (or thereabouts) for a magazine! But oh my darlings it is worth it. I mean truly worth it for those of us who sometime long to be able to hold  a little of all that we adore in our hands and flick through it at our own leisure.

Though Flow describes itself as a “magazine for paper lovers” it is in fact much more than that, with it’s reminders to simplify your life, feel connected, live mindfully and spoil yourself. Inside there is a sleuth of intelligent articles on subjects more taxing than the best anti-ageing moisteriser (though if you are that way inclined, might I make a shout out for the wonder that is Nip & Fab?), too much pretty to describe here, quotes to inspire and pull out posters to delight, but better than all of that, in each issue there is papery goodness for the taking – in this one a rose sprinkled snail mail envelope and two sets of flowery post it notes and in the next issue ex-libris stickers for your books and perforated cards for your inspiration wall…

Do I sound like a rather giddy advertisement for this magazine? I don’t mean to… or perhaps I do because I truly don’t remember happening across a paper something quite so absolutely delightful… style, substance and wonderful freebies et al!

Go order yourself a copy now.

  1. How nice to see this wonderful magazine in English! I bought the first or second issue of the original (Dutch) Flow while traveling a few years ago. Yeah, it’s pricey, but I agree that it’s pretty great! I’m going to visit their site right now!
