I'd like to read "The Year of Spending Stingily." It goes hand-in-hand with Simple Sparrow's "use what you have" theme in my mind. I think I posted a comment about that endeavor the other day because I'm trying to simplify my life and learn to focus on what's real and truly important. I don't watch TV as I'd rather read or do something more active, but I've read reviews about both TV shows discussed in your second link. Interesting dichotomy with the book and the TV, don't you think?
