"To me "domestic goddesses" have made the lives of ordinary woman a misery. My favorite recipe would be to roast one slowly on a spit."
Kathy Lette.
Heck. Who yanked her chain?

Have you ever read any of her God-awful "writing"? Riddled with bile- inducing puns and dreadful cliches. So I really wouldn't take any notice of her opinions, she is quite dreadful.

Hmmm, a bit of a Bitter Betty methinks…..
She sounds rather unhappy if you ask me. Cannibalism is usually a last resort for most people…
The silly thing of it is, she herself writes .. about criticism (when a critic has knocked her) …. that…
"Demolition is always easier than construction".
A case of pots and kettles both being pretty black I guess….She obviously spews whatever is handy on a given day and then completely flushes it from her files.
I doubt that "domestic goddesses" made HER life a misery..it's kind of obvious who did that.
….unless of course, she puts herself above the "ordinary" woman as well…. in which case.. please don't make assumptions on our behalf Kathy. LOL ……
Well, I find domestic goddesses quite inspiring. I loved Margaret's comment about cannibalism! lol!
I don't know what she is blathering on about anyway, it's not like she's had to do anything remotely domestic for how many years? If others make choices they enjoy, it's none of her business!
I wonder what her problem is? Maybe she's not much of a housekeeper…oh well…
I love your blog, sooo inspirational!! So many wonderful musings and images!

Had never heard of her so thanks for the introduction. Yes, I've been under a rock somewhere. To each her own…
She has a website. She’s a London based writer. One of those, chic Yummy Mummy types who doubtless secretly harbours a desire to be a role model for the very thing she’s mocking.

Sounds a little jealous, doesn’t she? Maybe she just ought to check out this delightful life we domestic goddesses live. She just might like it!
She doesn’t sound like a writer I care to read…
And I agree – she is jealous that the choices she made in life led her so far in the other direction…

Hello! I love your blog. A little bit of trivia that might explain why she hates ‘Domestic Goddesses’ is this. Her now husband left Nigella Lawson to be with her, so maybe she’s feeling a little inadequate as everyone keeps asking why on earth he left Nigella for her!
