Free Vintage Images

Just because it is a rainy Tuesday, and my desk is tidy and the scanner was accessible and I love you.

The image at the top of the post was on the front cover of Homes and Gardens back in 1957, and the one above  is taken from the same magazine. It accompanied a short story called “One Last Chance” and was captioned “My son’s room looked like a hurricane had hit it…” And don’t we all know that feeling!

Next up for your consideration is another darling image from Joyce. L. Brisley called The Birthday Concert.

And finally in this rather eclectic selection from my personal collection today, E is for Eat It by Kate Greenaway, whose books form much of the cosy, snuggly flanneled sheet backdrop to my childhood.
