Summerannn

Good Morning HouseKeepers!

Please accept my apologies for getting you all in a tizzy by falling off the side of the earth for the past week:  gloriously, I am  not  drowning in  sorrow but , oh so happily, in  Summer, and in my world, Summer  means  Big  Brother and  cool bubble gum scented baths,  brazen hussy red toenails and Paris Hilton’s very silly, very  Summery  song…

I’ve come over all white trash and I haven’t even started on the bling on my finger I bought when I sold my engagement ring…

Have a scrumptious day.x

Oh my lord Miss Alison, you ROCK. You really do! I am so glad you having a fab summer, but you know we do need a pic of your new bling!
I am scribbling away on a Mimi Says for you…and I do have a favour. Do you know what I really, really need? To stop me wilting in this heat and becoming a frizzy-haired monster?
I need a Puttery Treat Prescription for summer! Please can we have some of your ideas for summer time fabness? Please? Flutter?
Off now to sit under a fan! So glad you are back!

Hello Lady! So glad your back! I thought perhaps you'd packed up and taken Mr Finn on a little well deserved holiday! We do need to see this bling. There really is nothing else like it to brighten up your day! Apart that is from a new post from our favourite blogger!

Oh, I've been waiting for a new post! Just wanted to leave a comment and let you know that your blog is one of my new faves. Thanks to your influence I went out and bought myself new bedding, including a SILK throw pillow (filled with feathers and down, NOT poly batting!). The bedding is not vintage or very "Brocante" but it suits my taste and, for the first time in years, I couldn't wait to crawl into bed last night! Thanks!

As I've said before, You go, girl! I'll admit I was beginning to be worried, and I even alerted my son to get a little concerned. He was really laughing when I read your today's post to him. "That's really cool," he said… "She sold her engagement ring?" (with real true admiration)…. "How old is she?" —– oh, Alison, you are far younger than I, and you have taught me how to fix my beds, order my fridge, jazz up my holidays, and bling my purse… Is it possible you could also teach me how to come out on THE OTHER SIDE of a thing like this? How cool… Now, where is my ring?…
    Love and Hugs, G.

I'm smiling from ear to ear with joy and relief that you are doing wonderfully! I joined all the other worriers and fretters here – I was very concerned. So glad you proved us wrong!
You HAVE to show us your new bling, when you decide!
    So proud of you!

So glad you are back. I love your site and was worried that your silence meant you weren't doing so well. I've been going through a very similar thing to you these last few weeks and your site has sometimes made me sad but more than anything inspired me to keep going. Like you, I'm also starting to see the light and realise what a great life I have ahead of me now 'he's gone'. Thank you for keeping me going. Your strength is really inspriring. I wish you lots of luck for the future and lots more of Brocante Home!

Well, I have to admit, I am one of those mother-worry-warts! I get a little crazy when you are gone for long even though I know you are healing and doing those wonderful, fun things you deserve to be doing. Happy to hear you were emotionally ready to part with the ring. It is a huge step and you have done well. Just warn us next time you are going to be gone for a week or so…..this is me "wagging my finger" at you like I do my daughter when she causes me to fret. 🙂
I am truly happy and proud for you! Keep aiming STRAIGHT up!

Alison, JUST got back from France and so pleased that the pheonix has finally risen from the ashes! You go ahead and enjoy all that is trashy, I loathe popular culture snobs!Isn't it just the best feeling knowing that the albatross around your neck is no more! Enjoy the heady and languid summer evenings, my lovely.

Hey, Alison…I'm so sorry about what happened. I can say I have been through something similar lately…someone I loved very much but could not do anything about it, left my life about 6 weeks ago.
Your "back to living and getting over it" attitude has really inspired me to have the same. Hugs!!
