Right by the sea… rather than Formby or Southport where there’s a mile hike just to see the water! I know what you mean, but wouldn’t it be a bit like drinking prosecco with every meal? You’d get used to it and stop appreciating it, so that when visitors come and swoon over the sound and the smell, you’d just look at them weird!
Lovely photos! I used to visit Whitstable years ago when my best mate was going out with David Brown who owns the deli on Harbour street. He’s still there, baking all the bread and making beautiful lemon tarts. Deli Dave we used to call him. Have a lovely holiday Alison.
Oh! I would love looking through all those shops. Of course I would have to get an ice cream from the pink ice cream truck. I just love the full-skirted frocks in the store window!
What a lovely place for a holiday, Alison! I hope your time there heals your weary soul.
Is there a website for the shop with the ADORABLE dresses? I would SO look like a vintage housewife in one of those beauties! 😉
Alison, these beautiful pictures are simply a lovely balm to a weary soul. Enjoy your vacation. Many thanks!

It looks right up your street! Will you ever return to Lancashire again?
I would move here tomorrow… living by the sea would be utter bliss.x
