The new Rococco range at Dulux is kind of lovely. Violets, lilacs and purples are incredibly difficult to get right (Trust me, I once painted a wall in our bedroom, what I thought was a rather scrumptious shade of parma violet, but I came upstairs to find Mark crying because he said I had ruined our room! Did I tell you he was a bit precious??? ), but Dulux have taken the headache out of it to offer a rather lovely, just right range of grey violets and extremely powdery pinks….
Hi Alison. I found you by chance on a BBC page and I looked at your site. I absolutely love it! Everything about it seems to sum up what I like right now. I grew up in Yorkshire with my Nana and Grandad and I have ended up in Kent. My house is now full of bits and pieces from my Nana's house. Old Black and white war time photos, hand embroidered tablecloths, porcelain tea pots and pretty glass vases. I am so happy to have found a site devoted to nostalgic prettiness! I am just thinking about wallpapering the fireplace wall in my living room and changing the blue (currently sort of deco turquoise) on the surrounding walls. I looked at the Dulux Rococo range and their winter teal is perfect, so thanks!
