Across Lancashire old ladies are tucking their seceteurs into their crocodile skin handbags and preparing to make their annual criminal pilgrimage to my house.

P.S: Dont’cha just love  my heart shaped wreath? I’m off to hunt out some thick yellow gingham ribbon to hang it from to welcome the daffodils currently poking their heads out of my tiny little patch of soil…

Spring, Darling, how I  love you.

Oh, I am so very jealous! It is cold and snowy here by my little garden. All I have now to keep me happy are my seed catalogs. It looks so lovely by you!!

I've just moved into a victorian cottage, with not much more than a piece of dirt and some straggly grass, and I am still wondering if it will ever get any sun!
but I am determined to make something of it by summer. your garden looks pretty and inspiring.
