  1. What lovely writing Alison…you put the way we feel about our children better than anyone else I know! Hit the nail on the head with the sadness we feel about the riots. I've found myself going to bed with a lump in my throat for a many a night now – wondering what sort of world my tiny little boys are growing up in. Reckon we've seen the very best and the very worst of our communities recently…. Keeping on writing… it's lovely x

  2. Keep focused on the positive. All bad things eventually pass and become distant memories. Grab hold to all the good things you have right now. You have so much to look forward to, with the wedding and all. Focus on that. You cannot stop the riots or the fallout from it. Focus on the glorious future that awaits you and the present will take care of itself.

  3. Oh, Dearest Alison. We are praying over here, across the pond that all will be well for you sooner than later. That the time will come as well as the words to share. That confusion returns to only somewhat silliness. That pain and heart ache will be short but sweet.
    Blessings to you all.

  4. A stunning piece of writing. Thank you for letting us know how you are doing and for not mincing your words. Now we know exactly HOW to keep you in our best thoughts.

  5. There are times where it feels like we shall die for all the times our hearts bleed over things we can not control. May you find comfort in the little things.
