Here I am again my sweets, with another short bedtime story for you to download and devour…
This one comes from Sophie Svelt, and it was written in 1897, for The New England Magazine. It tells the tale of an old lady down on her luck but still determined to keep her faith in her heritage and all that she treasures.
Though like When Queens Ride By, The Flowered Tea-Set is very much of it’s time, it is testimony to treasuring our history and not allowing thoughts of money to sway that which we hold most precious.
Download it here, and plan if you can a lavender-scented early night.
Enjoy.x
