Shoes

For my first contribution to Gina’s Friday’s Favorite’s, I want to tell you about these little red shoes.

The day I found out I was pregnant I came across these little shoes, and because I was kind of awash with new mommy hormones, found my eye’s filling with years as I paid the lady at the counter. Just as I was about to hand over the five pound’s they cost, the tear’s spilled over and I suddenly found myself squashed in the embrace of somebody else’s mother, stuttering out my good news to a small group of complete stranger’s and knowing in that moment, that I couldn’t be happier…

Now those little shoes hold Finley’s birth-date hospital tag, and because they mark such a special day, they are my favorite thing’s in the house…

Alison, I have my very own "First Shoes", from when I was a little girl. I have brought them around the world with me with every new move! The heel is worn down from when I would stamp my foot!!{though I cannot imagine such a thing{. Them always remind me of my past and I always have a warm feeling when I look at them! Thank-you for sharing Finleys shoes!Joanna

Alison, They are darling. I love red shoes. And that you turned a memory of being a mom into a keepsake box for the child is a great idea.
