A Vintage View

I swear too much fun is going to kill me. If I am not trotting around in heels that are liable to sentence me to a life of bunions, I will be queuing up at W.H.Smith first thing tomorrow morning to buy the first copy of A Vintage View from the Woman’s Weekly stable. This among other things, is just the thing to get this vintage girl a-giddy!
Taken from the Woman’s Weekly archives, as far as I can tell there will be ten monthly issues of a magazine filled with pertinent vintage articles in sections including  home, work, food, makes & patterns, health, fashion & beauty, entertainment, relationships and advice (the post the Woman’s weekly team put together detailing the way they chose the articles for each issue makes for fascinating reading).

As yet I can’t tell whether there will be modern commentary on each of the archived articles or whether it really will be a delicious collection of vintage snippets… transporting us straight back in time, so that every time we pick up A Vintage View we can convince ourselves that we really do live in an era where  housewives concerned themselves with keeping their homes shipshape…

Now excuse me. I have exercises to do because my salt cellars are dangling in a wobbly fashion. Bless my wibbly heart.

My db had to fly to England this weekend and is sweet enough to purchase magazines for me, so I am anticipating his return tonight!

It would be lovely if you could sell a few on Etsy! Unfortunately, they won’t ship to America.

Me, too! Do you think you could manage a few copies to ship to us Yanks? I would love to share them with my Mother and Mother-in-law.
