HouseKeepers I have had a brainwave. Now it doesn’t happen very often so you will have to bear with me while I explain how it came about, but I am hoping that once we understand each other it will be the simplest answer to documenting our authentic dreams…
I received an email from a lady who wanted to keep an Illustrated Discovery Journal, but didn’t have time for " faffing about with glue and paper". And who could blame her? A quick look at my own
So what to do? While browsing through the latest copy of Romantic Homes, I came across Scanalog: a magazine cataloging system, created by a lady frustrated by her need for an easy method of collating all the scrumptious things she came across while reading magazines. And what a fine little piece of software it is. But at $59.00 it was kind of low on my priorities and surplus to requirements, HouseKeepers, when we have the wonder that is Flickr…
So in a moment of inspiration this afternoon I have created an Illustrated Discovery Journal Flickr group: a place to record our authentic dreams and store all those scrumptious magazine images we don’t want to forget…
Now we can do this two ways: either you can play with your online
* Sign into or sign up for a Flickr account (it’s free!) and upload your scanned magazine images or online image sources…
* Tag each image that you upload "discoveryjournal" (no spaces). Then click "add new set" and create a set called "Illustrated Discovery Journal", or whatever you want to call it…
* Go the group page at:
http://www.flickr.com/groups/discoveryjournal/
and apply to join, then thereafter, everytime you upload an image to your "discoveryjournal" set, you have the option of clicking "send to group", and sharing your dreams with us, or keeping them to yourself…
I like the idea! Just signed up…will upload a few "dreams" when I have a bit more time. Hugs oxo
I tried to do this, but not sure if this is how you meant???? They ended up alongside yours. Was that right? Haha… I never could find the uplodad to pool thingie…. Oh, my.
