The first in a series of letters to the editor, from my growing collection of womens vintage magazines. While the letters themselves are often daft and always (accidentally?) funny, the answers from the editors themselves range from mildly patronising to downright rude…

Career Minded.

"When I was six years old I wanted to be a housewife, at seven a tap-dancer, at nine a nurse, at ten a ballet-dancer and now at eleven, I want to work with animals.

Do you think I will stick to this?

The Editor replies- Not on your life! At thirteen you will want  to be a teacher, at fifteen a film star, at seventeen an air hostess and at nineteen, we wager, you’ll begin to wonder if you shouldn’t be a housewife after all…

    My whole childhood I only ever wanted to be a NUN!!!…..That was until I got to be a teenager and discovered…..BOYS !!!!!
