  1. I wish I had even one radiator in my house. It would be heaven to be able to warm up nighties and such on it.
    When I was a little girl, I would often stay at my grandparents’ house. My grandma would always have a bath towel warming up for me on the bathroom radiator so that I could dry myself off after a bath with a warm, cozy towel. I miss that so much.

  3. I’m ahead of you, here…. I read The Haunting of Hill House a couple of weeks ago and can thoroughly recommend it, even though it turned out actually to be a summer ghost story! For a proper winter shiver (in front of the warmest fire) may I recommend Stephen King’s The Shining, where the snow is a character all by itself, and Kate Mosse’s The Winter Ghosts, short but sweetly haunting.
