Well goodness me I just wasn’t expecting her to talk like that. Goodness knows why, but I was expecting an ethereal, delicate little creature and I was wrong. She’s kind of fiesty and she says ‘erbs! Still standing your chopping board on it’s side each evening is a terribly good idea. Nobody likes a warped chopping board…
Rachel Ray is in way too many places here in the US. When she first came on, I loved and adored her, now she grates on my nerves. Even though I don't like watching her anymore, I have adopted many of her great ideas. Like the garbage bowl for example. You set out a large bowl on the counter and throw all your trash in it while cooking. That way it saves you steps and time. At the end of your session, you just dump the contents of your bowl in the trash can. Brilliant!
I thought of another great use for salt. I use the Martha Stewart method for cleaning my cast iron pans. Never wash them in soapy water. I add a few tablespoons of cooking oil to my skillet on a medium-high heat. Then I add a handful of kosher salt. Take wadded up paper towels and scrub the skillet with the salt. The graininess of the salt will remove food particles and the oil helps season it. Wipe it all out with a clean paper toweling until all of the salt is wiped out.
Oh yeah, Rachel Ray is absolutely fiesty! I know quite a few men who love to watch her as well as women.
karla if you add a plastic bag you can just tie up the garbage throw it away and end up with a clean bowl —-goodness knows we need to do something productive with all those bags from walmart!!

I agree with Karla…Rachael Ray is all over the place and I'm sick of her. Every box of crackers has her face on it! At first she was great buuuuut…
Love that good old GB-and I know what Karla means about how she's everywhere. But I still cook her recipes because they're wonderful even though her voice is abrasive and her getures erratic-it's just who she is and I still love her!
When was the last time you met a delicate ethereal American?
And they all say 'erbs here. I just can't bring myself to say it though…

I love Rachel…I only hope she doesn't change now that she's been "Oprah-ized".
It does seem that everytime you find someone or something decent to enjoy they get bought up and "improved". That usually ruins it for me. Do you know what I mean?
