  1. We shop all of us, as a family (God help us! Its bonkers!) once every two weeks. We take three carts and pile them embarrassingly high with goods. I cook dinners from a planned menu I purchase online which comes with its own grocery list so that’s how I manage the logistics. I hate going so infrequently though…the vegetables off the second week’s menu are always frozen and the larder invariably gets much less appealing after all the lovely treats have vanished in the first three days. I dash out for things from time to time without any real pattern and drive my husband crazy. He’s very keen to limit our purchases. We also have a CSA share which comes once a week to the church down the street and I walk over with the boys in a wagon to pick it up. That does supplement the frozen produce nicely and is always a forgotten encouragement.
