Oh apple pies and frilly aprons, this looks kind of wonderful in a homely film about pies kinda way! Released here on the 10th August (Kath you are watching it- no arguments), it is has caused enough fuss to warrant discussion on the oh so serious entity that is BBC 2 Newsnight (Quote-"Its a bad film. it’s aterrible film. Like the worst episode of Sex and the City ever."- Unquote) and so I’m dying to know if it lives up to the hype or warrants the critisism from bitter and twisted soothsayers like Tony Parsons…

Oh this was such a cute movie. It was released here in the states earlier this summer. I went on a whim, not knowing what it was really about, and wasn't disappointed. I mean, it's not Oscar worthy, but it was a great little weekend flick in my opinion.

I think it looks like a great little movie!
I saw it here this summer and loved it…funny, sad, some serious stuff too. The screenwriter plays one of the waitresses and her baby is in the last shot…there's a sad story about her if you look it up. But altogether a good movie!!
I thought Waitress was beyond lovely. It portrayed motherhood in an (admittedly cock-eyed) optimistic, sweet and noble way, which is not something I think women see alot of today in the entertainment industry.
I saw it and I enjoyed it. Now, it's not rocket science, and it's not at all a complicated film. But it was a really sweet story, and an enjoyable way to spend an evening at the movies. I really recommend it!
This is hands down the best movie I have seen this year. It will be released on DVD here on Sept 11th and you can bet I'll be in the store buying it that day. I've been obsessed with pie and diner's ever since.
I also saw this wonderful little movie during the summer. It was shown in the smallest theatre of our multi-plex so I figured it would be me and a few other women in there. To my surprise, men and women continued to come in until the theatre was filled to capacity—and this was on a Saturday afternoon! The story and acting were very well done. You should have heard the audience when the camera showed Andy Griffith sitting at one of the tables in the diner. You could hear murmurs of "Ah, look. It's Andy Griffith..it's Andy." Very sweet. 🙂
