Bless your heart, Alison! You certainly have more than your share of challenges lately. As always, we think of you and keep you in our hearts and prayers.
Poor Finley! I know you and Mark will do a great job in making him feel comforted and cozy during his rough time. Maybe a good old fashioned Oatmeal bath and a cup of tea won't cure him, but it will sure help ease the blow! Take care and hang in there! I've had everyone in my house being sick, including me (also being pregnant!), and it's just amazing what we women are capable of when it comes to caring for our family. Just remember to take it easy on yourself too! A sick and worn out Mama can't help anyone! I've learned that the hard way! Love, Susana 🙂

My son and I BOTH got the chicken pox over Christmas, and we'd both been vaccinated! I hope Finley's case is as mild as ours was. You are getting a message from fate to slow down and relax and just take care of yourselves. I'm sorry it's so hectic. Take care.

It's just that time of year Alison.I can guarantee that at least one of the six of us will be ill from Christmas right through til end of March!At the moment Kitty is very poorly and Josie seems to be going the same way!I just dose us all up with echinacia.Holland and Barret do a great liquid one for children that you can add to their juice.It doesn't stop us getting ill but it speeds up the recovery.
Better Finley has chicken pox now rather than when he's older though.Try calamine cream rather than lotion for the spots it's much more soothing and easier to put on.I found a low dose of antihistime at bed-time helped aswell.Another remedy is to fill a stocking with dry porridge oats and let his bath water run through it.It turns the bath milky and helps ease the itching.I really do sympathise.
